Music Or Die

all the right friends in all the right places

wow, I was actually surprised to see visitor activity on this blog more dead than the Sahara… or something.

it’s a pity this country sucks the joy right outta me like East London sucks the joy right out of Kele of Bloc Party (Bloc Party - Song for Clay). I was in East London a week ago and it did quite the contrary, actually. but what I want to say is that it seems like the only pasttime remotely interesting these days here in Estonia is binge drinking and going to parties. every bit of this non-existant creativity I once had is gone, all I’m left with is the sudden urge to get pissed on every occasion I get. this is really fucking sad. I wish I could stay home and write music instead, do things which I actually have to do. for example right now I could name at least 6 things I should be doing instead of writing this blog. at least I’m not drinking..

but to regain some of this positivity I also once had, I shall not whine any more. I’ve had a really good time lately, namely in London last weekend. London is cooler than I remembered and although now a big city kid, Jon hasn’t changed at all. we ate chinese (classic), went shopping (mmmm all saints) and went on a no-budget cocktail drinking spree in my fancy hotel lobby in fancy clothes. ‘twas such a ‘lost in translation’ moment and it’s sad we had to part ways… I miss him.

I also got to go to a city where I hadn’t been before, Belfast, and I absolutely fucking loved it during these few hours I got to spend there. I’m deffo going back and deffo writing a paper next year on the unrests that took place there.

music? I dunno.. I actually re-listened to a lot of Nightwish a week ago and loved it. Muse is coming to Helsinki and Stockholm in summer but I dunno if I should go as I’m doing Wembley anyway in September.

I hope this will be over soon…
